Model figures of Canadians in Afghanistan with weapons, labeled '1/35 scale' by Replikator Model Corp.

Continue your tribute to the valor of Canadian forces with the third set in our "Canadians in Afghanistan" series. This 1/35 scale 3D printed resin model set features two essential roles in an infantry section: the Grenadier and the C9 Automatic Rifleman.

The Grenadier

The infantry Grenadier provides critical firepower and versatility to the section. Their primary role is to deliver high-explosive, smoke, or illumination rounds with precision and range, targeting enemy positions or providing cover. The Grenadier is a force multiplier, capable of engaging threats beyond the range of standard rifles and breaching enemy defenses.

This figure is equipped for this specialized role, carrying a C7A2 Rifle fitted with an M203 40mm Grenade Launcher. The C7A2 provides a reliable platform for direct fire, while the under-barrel M203 allows for rapid deployment of grenades. The figure also carries a CamelBak, providing essential hydration for long patrols in the harsh Afghan environment.

The C9 Automatic Rifleman

The Automatic Rifleman, often called the "Auto," is the designated machine gunner within the infantry section. Their role is to provide suppressive fire, pinning down enemy forces and allowing the rest of the section to maneuver. The C9 is a light machine gun that delivers a high volume of sustained fire, making it a pivotal weapon on the battlefield. The Automatic Rifleman is a highly valued member of the team, as their firepower can turn the tide of a firefight.

This figure is equipped for heavy-duty combat, armed with the C9 FN Minimi, a lightweight and powerful machine gun. They also carry a CADPAT Small Pack to hold extra ammunition and other critical gear. In addition, the figure is prepared for anti-armor threats, carrying two M72 LAWs (Light Anti-Tank Weapons), a potent tool against armored vehicles or fortified positions.

Shared Uniform and Equipment

Both figures are sculpted with remarkable attention to detail, accurately depicting the standard equipment worn by Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan:

  • CG 634 Kevlar Helmet: Providing essential ballistic protection.
  • TAG Infrared Beacon: For identification by friendly forces, especially during night operations.
  • Personal AN/PRC-343 Radio: The essential communications device for unit-level operations.
  • CADPAT Uniform: The Canadian Disruptive Pattern uniform, a hallmark of the Canadian Armed Forces.
  • Frag and Combat Vest: Providing protection and carrying essential ammunition and gear.
  • Desert Combat Boots: Designed for the challenging terrain and extreme temperatures of Afghanistan.

Add these two specialized and highly detailed models to your collection. They are perfect for military history enthusiasts, diorama builders, and collectors of modern military figures.
