Model kit packaging for IDF AFV & Tank Crew figures by 3Dimontis, featuring Replikator Model Corporation branding.

Bring a new level of authenticity to your Merkava, Magach, or Namer builds with this 1/35 scale 3D printed figure set. Part of the Replikator Model Corp Modern Military Series, this set depicts a crew of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Armored Corps.

  • Five-Figure Set: This comprehensive set includes a full crew complement to populate your vehicle:

    • The Commander: A standing figure with his right arm raised in a fist, possibly signaling a halt or emphasizing a point during a briefing.

    • The Crew: Two standing figures in relaxed "at ease" stances; one with hands clasped, the other adjusting his sleeve.

    • The Driver: A half-figure torso included for placing inside the driver's hatch of your model.

    • Female Tank Instructor/Crew: A distinctive female figure depicted seated (perfect for a fender or turret edge) holding her helmet. This pays homage to the vital role of Madrichot Shiryon (tank instructors) or the modern female border defense tank crews.

  • American-Style CVC Helmets: The male figures are wearing the iconic DH-132 series CVC (Combat Vehicle Crewman) helmets, often referred to as "Bone Domes." These American-made helmets are standard issue for IDF armored crews and are captured here with detailed boom microphones and earcups.

  • Armored Vests: The crew wears the standard IDF tanker's protective vest (often called a Shachpats) over their coveralls. The sculpts feature the characteristic vertical velcro strips, padding, and high collars typical of Israeli gear.

The IDF Armored Corps (Heil HaShryon)

The Armored Corps is the principal maneuvering force of the IDF and is considered one of the most experienced armored forces in the world.

  • The Chariots of Fire: Since the 1970s, the corps has transitioned from upgraded American (Magach) and British (Sho't) tanks to the indigenous Merkava ("Chariot") series. The Merkava is unique for its rear infantry hatch and emphasis on crew survival.

  • Doctrine: IDF doctrine relies heavily on the tank's ability to provide shock and firepower. They operate in combined arms teams but place a premium on aggressive tank maneuvering.

  • The Human Element: The corps is famous for its high training standards. Historically, young female soldiers (Madrichot) have served as the primary tank instructors, teaching male recruits everything from gunnery to driving—a unique feature of the IDF that is represented in this figure set.

Crew Gear Profile

  • The "Gentex" Helmet: While the IDF has used various helmets, the US-supplied DH-132 CVC helmet is ubiquitous. It allows for clear intercom communication in the noisy environment of a diesel-engine tank.

  • Nomex Coveralls: The figures are wearing standard fire-retardant tanker overalls, designed to protect the crew from flash burns—a major threat in armored warfare.

  • Infantry Boots: Unlike some nations that issue specific tanker boots, IDF crews typically wear the generic, reddish-brown or black leather infantry combat boots seen on these figures.
